What the heck is Cloud Computing

Wikipedia says:

Cloud computing is a style of computing in which dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources are provided as a service over the Internet.[1][2] Users need not have knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure in the “cloud” that supports them.[3]

What crap. it does not make any sense does it? In this post I will try to explain to you in pure laymen term what exactly is cloud computing.

When you have a computer and you rent it out to people who access it using interet to run their program on your computer, this is called Cloud Computing.

Instead of having one you can have multiple computer – you call it a data center then.

You can have multiple computer runing different OS and different program – charge people on the way you want.

Normally there are multiple computers (some virtual some real) running different programs and you rent it out people access it using internet – this is your Cloud Computing

was it difficult?
